GST & BAS Returns

Business Activity Statements (BAS) are required in order to report and pay a number of tax obligations, including GST, pay as you go (PAYG) installments, PAYG with-holding and fringe benefits tax.

Individuals who must pay quarterly PAYG installments are also required to submit Business Activity Statements. These statements are personalised to each business or individual to support reporting against identified obligations.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad based tax on the supply of most goods and services consumed in Australia. The GST rate is 10%. The effects of this tax are felt by all the links within the chain of production. However, it is the consumer who ultimately bears the cost  of the GST.
